In a comprehensive health review meeting held today, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney engaged with senior health officials to assess the ongoing progress of several flagship health schemes in the district. The meeting spotlighted a strong emphasis on timely achievement of Tuberculosis (TB) eradication goals, expedited generation of Ayushman Bharat cards, and enhanced regulatory checks on medical stores.

A highlight of the day was the felicitation ceremony for ASHA and other frontline healthcare workers, where DC Sawhney personally recognized their unwavering dedication and exceptional service, especially during challenging times. Their tireless efforts were lauded as the backbone of the district’s public health success.

“This progress is not just administrative—it is the result of sincere efforts by thousands of silent heroes in our healthcare system,” said DC Sakshi Sawhney, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all the workers present.

The meeting concluded with a call to action: accelerated implementation, grassroots coordination, and community involvement to ensure no one is left behind in the journey toward a healthier future.

DC Sawhney reiterated the district administration’s commitment to eliminating TB within set timelines, urging health officials to intensify outreach, testing, and treatment efforts. She also stressed the importance of ensuring that every eligible citizen is promptly issued an Ayushman Bharat health card, thereby improving access to quality healthcare services for all.

Additionally, she directed stricter monitoring and inspection of medical stores to maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure the safe dispensing of medicines.
