In a resounding testament to the power of coordinated governance, the eight-day Army Recruitment Rally in Patiala has emerged as a model of operational precision and civic responsibility. The seamless synergy between the Indian Army and the Patiala Civil Administration — under the astute stewardship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav — has not only set new organisational standards but also infused renewed enthusiasm among the youth of Punjab’s six districts.
With over 10,000 spirited candidates converging from Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur, Mansa, Barnala, and Malerkotla, this year’s rally witnessed a remarkable surge in preparedness. The physical test pass rate soared past 65%, surpassing previous years and underscoring the disciplined determination of participants. Senior Army officials attributed much of this success to the transparent processes, professional acumen, and collaborative planning spearheaded by Dr. Yadav.

The hallmark of leadership — DC Dr. Preeti Yadav on the ground, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and hospitality at one of Punjab’s most successful Army recruitment drives.
Strategic Oversight and Inspirational Leadership
From her on-ground inspections to high-level review meetings with the Army Recruitment Office and senior military commanders, Dr. Preeti Yadav’s hands-on leadership was instrumental in ensuring that every facet of the rally — from security to candidate welfare — was executed to perfection. Her emphasis on fairness, operational efficiency, and youth motivation was praised not only by civil officials but by senior Army leadership, including Lieutenant General Mohit Wadhwa and Major General Barinder Singh Bist, both of whom personally reviewed the rally.

Hospitality That Became a Talking Point
One of the most applauded features of the event was the unprecedented hospitality extended to candidates — a reflection of the administration’s humane approach under Dr. Yadav’s guidance. The provision of morning and afternoon meals, along with refreshments, was not merely a logistical gesture but a symbol of Patiala’s commitment to nurturing its youth. The Army Recruitment Director lauded this gesture as a “model example” of civil–military cooperation, declaring the Patiala rally a reference point for future events nationwide.
A Symbol of Youth Aspiration and National Pride
Dr. Yadav, reflecting on the rally’s success, commended the patriotic zeal of the young aspirants and reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering support for providing employment and career pathways in the defence sector. “Under the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, we have ensured that no effort is spared in enabling our youth to serve the nation with dignity and honour,” she stated.
The rally’s overwhelming participation, coupled with the doubling of available vacancies, is being hailed as a harbinger of a positive trend — signalling not only the Army’s expanding opportunities but also the deepening resolve of Punjab’s youth to dedicate themselves to national service.
